Opera gala in Herzliya

The Herzliya Chamber Orchestra will present an Opera Gala next week - a dazzling concert of beloved arias, duets, ensembles and overtures by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Rossini and many more. The orchestra, under the baton of Harvey Bordowitz, features soprano Larissa Tetuyev, mezzo-soprano Karin Shifrin, tenor Yotam Cohen and bass Andrei Trifonov. Two performances are planned at the Herzliya Performing Arts Center (15 Rehov Jabotinsky): Tuesday June 20; and Saturday June 24. Both concerts begin at 9:15 p.m. The concerts will be preceded at 8:45 p.m. by a lecture by conductor Bordowitz. For tickets and information, call (09) 950-0761.
