Prices lowered for Peas tickets

Even at reduced prices, tickets to Jerusalem Rocks are significantly more expensive than those for the Peas' first Israeli concert, a sold-out show at Tel Aviv's Bloomfield Stadium last June.

Tickets have gotten cheaper for next month's Black Eyed Peas concert in Jerusalem. Organizers of "Jerusalem Rocks," the September 9 music marathon headlined by the US hip-hop giants, announced Sunday that they would be lowering prices for the show, a seven-hour event also featuring Irish band the Commitments and early Nineties Grammy winners Arrested Development. Tickets for the Teddy Stadium concert now range between NIS 229 and 249, down from original prices over NIS 300. Proceeds from the not-for-profit show, a privately organized effort to promote Jerusalem as a cultural center, will go for a second "Jerusalem Rocks" concert planned for next year. Even at reduced prices, tickets to Jerusalem Rocks are significantly more expensive than those for the Peas' first Israeli concert, a sold-out show at Tel Aviv's Bloomfield Stadium last June. Tickets for that performance, which took place at a venue nearly as large as Teddy Stadium, were priced between NIS 149 and 200 and sold out within days of going on sale. "Jerusalem Rocks" tickets have been on sale since July.
