To mark Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday, Ramallah-based Ram FM will broadcast a three-hour concert in his honor live from London's Hyde Park. The concert, called 46664 because it will gather 46,664 of Mandela's friends and supporters, will be attended by big-name politicians and celebrities, including former US president Bill Clinton, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Robert de Niro and Forest Whitaker. Performers will include Annie Lennox, Simple Minds, Leona Lewis and Eddy Grant. The radio station's manager, Maysoun Odeh-Gangat, said Ram FM was "honored to take part in an event dedicated to a man who has committed his life to promoting peace, non-violence and communication." The show will air on June 27, beginning at 10:30 p.m.
