This week, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem will hold its third annual Israeli Wine Festival . At this unique event, wine and art enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a grand outdoor tasting and visit the museum exhibits. Some of the country's leading wineries and prestigious vintners will introduce their best harvest, and wine vendors Avi Ben and Shahar's Liquors will offer guided wine seminars. With live jazz played in the background, guests will have the opportunity to taste the produce of more than 30 wineries, taking pleasure in the nearby kosher food stands at the same time. Visitors can also enter the museum's exhibits on Tuesday and Thursday until 9 p.m. for no additional charge. The Israel Museum is now in full swing with special summer-oriented exhibitions: Bread, Daily and divine: A feast for the senses, exploring the role of bread in life-cycle ceremonies and its significance in religious rituals, as well as offering a glimpse into the world of bakers and tracing the process of bread making from seed to loaf. Tracing Shadows: The place of shadow and silhouette in contemporary art is at the focus of this exhibition, which features interactive displays in various environments. Love in European Art: This passionate topic is explored through the museum's European Art collection - from the 14th century to the present day - with paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and collages. It includes works by Francisco de Goya, Auguste Rodin and Peter Paul Rubens. For NIS 50, each guest will get a crystal wineglass that can be filled as often as desired from the wide selection of wines, and can also buy wine accessories at attractive prices. The wine event will take place from Monday through Thursday, July 10-13 from 7 p.m. to midnight.
