KEEP IN STEP
Acclaimed choreographer Mourad Merzouki’s AGWA is a high-energy
display of complex hip hop, capoeira, samba and acrobatics. The work was
inspired by an encounter between Merzouki and Kafig, a group of 11 young
Brazilian dancers from Companhia Urbana de Dança, which maintains a focus on the
movements’ roots and geographical origins.

The premiere of the play The Flying
Classroom, the third of a trilogy of Erich Kastner’s plays to be produced by the
Mediatheque Theater celebrating the 114th anniversary of the author’s birth,
will take place on the day, Saturday. The plot revolves around a group of
classmates, their rivalry, trials and friendship.
