Bold was the word of the evening on Sunday at the premier event of this
year’s Tel Aviv Fashion Week. The festivities, which took place at the
Tachana refurbished antique train station, inspired outfits that were
anything but antique. The fashion-forward attendees brought daring
patterns, untamed hairdos, and some even wore an accent of red to match
the red carpet.
Although there were some misses, a bold
statement is always something to be commended. From extravagant hats to
bedazzled shoes, it seemed everyone wanted to get noticed at this
media-frenzy event. The evening concluded with the guest of honor,
Moschino, presenting its2013 collection. The 70s inspired collection was
slightly outdated, but certain pieces incorporated the nostalgic look
with a somewhat more contemporary feel, which was refreshing, but not
earth shattering. Overall, it was nothing to write home about.
It’s
a shame that the spotlight was only on the models, because the real
stars of the evening were the guests. Here is a glimpse of some of
Fashion Week’s most daring pedestrian style statements.

Lauren Izso

Leor Shalev. Believe it or not, this young woman is only 18. Her fashion sense is way beyond her years. The studded bra with the formal business suit is a nice contrast, and the hair is fierce.

Lauren Izso

Viki Makrianic, FTV. The leather and fabric compliment each other. The mullet skirt makes her legs look like they go on for days.

Lauren Izso

Arina Shalina. The fit is flattering, but constricting. Not sure how well she is able to breathe with that high neckline. Careful not to stare, though. She's got an army of creepy faces that will give you nightmares.

Lauren Izso

Omer Welder (Styled by boyfriend.co.il). All fits within the chosen color scheme, and not overdone. Also, the jacket is fantastic.

Lauren Izso

Oksana Pash. Her outfit is basic, but it is no joke that she matched her accessories to the red carpet, but aything more, and it would be overdone. The necklace is a nice feminine touch.

Lauren Izso

Helena and Luna Blaustein, Frau Blau. The print dress is well-fitted and not over accessorized, but the little one takes the spotlight. The mini fur vest it to die for.
Try it: Use a bright accessory to liven up a plain, neutral, or dark outfit. All you need is one attention-grabbing piece. Less is more.
Warning: It
might freak people out if you wear faces all over your body. One face
can potentially work, be it a classic Hollywood star or influential
figure, but never more than one. You could end up looking like a milk
carton misprint gone terribly wrong.
