Many restaurants around the country are offering patrons the opportunity to ring in 2013 in full festive style.

As celebrating New Year’s Eve becomes more and more popular in Israel, many of the best restaurants and bars in the country offer special events for those who want to bring in the New Year with a bang. Here is a small selection of some of the festivities taking place on December 31.

KITCHEN MARKET is offering an individual tasting menu that includes three appetizers, a main course, two desserts and a glass of Cava. Some of the dishes on offer include chestnut carpaccio, organic chicken with pancetta and cabbage fondue, lamb terrine, as well as fillet steak with potatoes, asparagus and onion.

THE SHINE & SHARP
steakhouse will be celebrating by offering a special menu for two that includes a bread basket, two appetizers, a sharing menu for two comprised of a number of the restaurant’s signature dishes, a rich dessert for two and soft drinks.

The restaurant will also give out surprises throughout the evening and offer a range of wines at attractive prices.

65 Yigael Alon, Tel Aviv. NIS 220 per person from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. NIS 280 from 10 p.m. until the restaurant closes.

SINTA EXPRESS bistro in Haifa will offer a celebratory menu to welcome the New Year using only the freshest of ingredients. Dishes will include fillet tartar with egglpant hearts as well as potato gnocchi with Brazilian Macademia nut sauce and mushrooms with truffle butter.

The evening will start with a glass of champagne for all diners as well as basket of strawberries.

It’s going to be a three-day celebration at PAVELLA CEVICHE and cocktail bar. Celebrating its first anniversary, the bar will host special events from December 30 through January 1. As part of the celebrations, the bar will offer customers the chance to purchase every second item on the menu for just NIS 1. The menu will include a range of special cocktails such as Halva Martini, Americana and Sangria, as well as a host of ceviche dishes.

BASHAR FROMAGERIE, an emporium of international kosher cheeses in Ra’anana, presents an elegant evening of wine and cheese tasting. The event will include a selection of cheeses from around the world, as well as Israeli cheeses accompanied by seasonal fruit and beer.

VICKY CRISTINA, the popular tapas bar at Hatahana complex in Tel Aviv, will have its own fiesta this New Year’s Eve with a Spanish-style party, complete with live music and flamenco dancers. The restaurant-bar will offer a wide range of festive tapas dishes prepared specifically for that evening, as well as their regular menu.

Chef Guy Ben Asher of GAYA restaurant in Binyamina invites diners to celebrate New Year’s with a seven-course meal that will take them on a culinary journey suitable for the end of the year. There will be two separate sittings for the sumptuous meal. The first will take place at 7 p.m. and the second at 10 p.m. Diners who choose the earlier sitting will receive a NIS 30 discount per person.

Chef Victor Gloger of CHLOELYS restaurant in Ramat Gan is offering a meal that includes five courses and two specialty wines for NIS 720 per person. The evening will include a range of musical treats and a festive atmosphere.

For a glamorous event by the sea, the SEATARA restaurant will be transformed by top event planner Chris Weiss into a New Year’s wonderland, in conjunction with top champagne brand Moet & Chandon.

A champagne reception on the red carpet will kick off the event, which will be followed by a three-course meal and plenty of upbeat music. The meal will include options such as fillet steak, goose liver pâté and meringue with berries.
