If you want to feel really old, go to the Nokia Arena on October 2. There, Redfoo of LMFAO and The Party Rock Crew will hold court with their electropop anthems that have propelled them to international stardom.
Redfoo (Stefan Kendal Gordy, the son of Motown founder Berry Gordy) and his nephew Skyblue (Skyler Austen Gordy) founded LMFAO in 2006 combining hip hop, r&b and rock, calling their new raunchy synthesis ‘party rock.’
By 2011, they had gone global, with their song “I’m Sexy and I Know It” becoming a monster hit, known by pre-teens as well as club hoppers. An appearance with Madonna at the 2012 Super Bowl cemented their pop culture icon status.
The Tel Aviv show will feature 35 performers and dancers to actualize the party rock.
