M. Ward, one of the most highly regarded and in-demand American singer/songwriters, will be making his Israel debut on June 25 at the Gesher Theater in Jaffa.
Whether in collaborations like Monsters of Folk with Conor Oberst and My Morning Jacket's Jim James, She & Him - his ongoing partnership with actress and singer Zooey Deschanel - backing artists like Neko Case, Cat Power, Beth Orton and Jenny Lewis, or on his numerous dustbowl meets pop solo albums like A Wasteland Companion, Ward has proven to be a master of the folk, country and rock tradition.
In 2006, he helped produce and contributed a song to the John Fahey tribute album I Am the Resurrection. His guitar playing - described as 'controlled fury' can expertly tackle surf-punk punky barn burners one minute and quiet acoustic interludes the next. Ward's arrival in Israel will bring a true innovator in a world of imitators.
Tickets are available exclusively through the website of the promoter of the show -  www.naranjah.net.
