Liat Collins was born and raised in Britain and made aliya in 1979, immediately joining the IDF. After learning Hebrew during her military service, she received a BA in Chinese Studies and International Relations at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She followed that with a Master's cum laude in Communications. Collins has worked at The Jerusalem Post since 1988 in positions ranging from columnist to parliamentary reporter. She received a national award for her contribution to raising the standards of environmental reporting. Collins is editor of The International Jerusalem Post.
