One-hundred African refugees on Wednesday overnight were secretly flown from Israel to their home countries, as part of the Population and Immigration Authority's policy encouraging voluntary departure.

The authority said the departure went ahead only after the refugees had agreed to leave voluntarily, and they were awarded an "adjustment fee" for their return to their countries.
