2 elderly pedestrians struck by cars, 1 killed

A 70-year-old in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a commercial vehicle in Petah Tikva Wednesday morning. The driver was detained for by the police for questioning.

Nearby in Kfar Saba, a 73-year-old pedestrian was also struck by a car in a crosswalk and seriously injured. The driver was taken in for questioning by the police.

Also Wednesday, Nazareth Ilit, a woman in her eighties fell from a third-floor balcony in her house after leaning over the railing and losing her balance. She was in moderate condition at the Emek Hospital in Afula.
