6.2 earthquake hits Chile, none injured

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit northeastern Chile on Sunday night, AFP reported.

The quake had a depth of 56.7 miles, rattling the region of Antofagasta, one of the driest places on Earth. No injuries or damages were reported.

Earlier this year, an 8.8 earthquake struck Chile, setting off a tsunami that killed 521 and destroyed entire villages.
