Air strike in area of east Libya oil town, witness says

RAS LANUF - A warplane launched an air strike on the eastern outskirts of Ras Lanuf on Monday, after witnesses reported Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's forces were advancing east towards the oil port.

"There was an aircraft, it fired two rockets there were no deaths," said Mokhtar Dobrug, a rebel fighter who witnessed the air strike, told Reuters. The air strike took place at one of two checkpoints in the city. There were no casualties.
