At least 7 dead in Iran earthquake

A powerful earthquake that struck southeastern Iran Monday night killed at least seven people, Iran's PressTV reported.

The governor of the affected region told official Iranian news agency IRNA, “Considering the dimensions of the damage, the death toll is expected to rise.”

The earthquake's epicenter was in the town of Hosseinabad, according to the report.

Six aftershocks were reported.
