The Israel Police and the Health Ministry's Pharmaceuticals Crimes Unit launched a joint raid on several stalls in Tel Aviv's central bus station area this week suspected of selling fake slimming pills, antibiotics, and birth control pills.

The pills were sold mainly to foreign workers who reside in the area, police said.

"Thousands of proscription pills were seized in the raid. Some of them are suspected to be fake," police said.
