Economy Minister Naftali Bennett expressed harsh words on Monday against the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails in light of an announcement that a prisoner released in the Gilad Schalit deal was arrested last month on suspicion of murdering an Israeli police officer in April.

"Today we need to clearly say: No more terrorists will be released," Bennett said. "After 30 years, it's clear that Israel should not release any more terrorists, in any situation, period."

The Bayit Yehudi leader said the revealed arrested of Ziad Awad should obliterate the idea of prisoner releases.
