The Border Police is set to hold a large scale security exercise this week that will simulate terrorist attacks and a variety of situations.

The exercise, dubbed "replay," will involve firefighters, paramedics, and other Israel Police units in addition to the Border Police, and will play out across a number of areas around the country.

"Due to the importance of the exercise and the need to simulate extreme situations, some disruption to the routine could be experienced, including traffic jams, and the the sealing off of roads and areas. The public is requested to be patient," the Border Police said in a statement.

Members of the public have also been asked by the Border Police to "remain vigilant and report any unusual incident to the Israel Police."
