Burns: Iran's noncompliance will have consequences

US Undersecretary of State William Burns is warning of consequences if it does not comply with international solutions to limit its uranium enrichment program.

Burns is in for talks with Russian officials on a range of issues, including , and .

He said in an interview with the independent Gazeta.ru portal on Thursday that "we will ... need to begin to look at ways in which we can make clear the consequences of not responding constructively" to proposals on how can develop a peaceful nuclear program.

His remarks were posted on the US Embassy's Web site.
