Cypriot police chief Michael Papageorgious and Israel Police head Insp.-Gen. Yochanan Danino agreed to tighten cooperation between the two forces on Tuesday.

Papageorgious is in Israel for a visit, and has toured the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv police districts on Tuesday.

He is also expected to visit elite police units. The visit is meant to enable the two police chiefs to come up with operational guidelines for a closer working relationship.
