The Comprehensive Reform for Studying Driving, slated to go into effect on April 1, was postponed for three months to July 1 due to a "technical reason," a spokesman for the Transportation Ministry told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.
As part of the reform, the minimum driver's license age will drop from 17 years old to 16 years and 9 months old. However, the plan calls for extending the period in which new drivers must drive with a licensed escort from three months to six months.
