Egypt trade and industry minister quits

CAIRO - Egypt's trade and industry Minister Samir el-Sayyad quit his job as part of a government reshuffle on Sunday, the cabinet said.

"The minister of industry and foreign trade, Dr. Samir el-Sayyad, has tendered his resignation and it has been accepted by the Prime Minister, Dr. Essam Sharaf," the cabinet said in a posting on its Facebook page.
