Egyptian security forces on Saturday afternoon managed to clear the Al-Fath mosque in Cairo of supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and ousted President Mohamed Morsi who barricaded themselves there since Friday, the BBC reported.

Many of the protesters who were in the mosque were arrested.
