Deputy Chief of Staff and the next slated chief of staff Maj.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot will not arrive at the Knesset on Sunday as originally planned to receive government approval, but will instead arrive on Sunday the week after next.

The delay is due an illness suffered by Judge Yaakov Tirkel, whose committee must approve the appointment before it receives government backing.
