Elderly man suspected of spraying acid on school children
June 12, 2012 10:30

An elderly man was arrested Tuesday morning after he allegedly entered an elementary school in the northern village of Tamra and sprayed two students and a teacher with a substance believed to be acid.

The victims, including two children aged 11 and 12, suffered from burns to their skin and were evacuated for medical treatment.

Police said they believe the background of the incident was a family dispute. Officers were searching for other members of his family who were with him during the incident. Police were holding the main suspect, a man in his eighties, for questioning.
