European citizen accused of trying to steal IDF soldier's weapon to be deported

A foreign citizen arrested Saturday for allegedly attacking an IDF soldier and attempting to steal his weapon was set to be deported, Israel Police said Tuesday.

The German- Swedish citizen allegedly assaulted the IDF soldier during a pro-Palestinian rally near the Adam Bridge junction in the Jordan Valley on Saturday.

In addition to the foreign citizen, a Palestinian man was arrested under suspicion of attacking IDF soldiers.
