The fierce storm that has brought strong winds and heavy rainfall has knocked out power in a number of settlements in the northern West Bank, local councils said on Wednesday.

Residents reported that electricity was cut off in Itamar, Alon Moreh, Har Bracha, Kiryat Natafim, and Yitzhar.

Power lines were toppled in Yitzhar, resulting in a road blockage. Emergency services were instructed to use backup generators in the area, and the army and electric company said they were working to restore power to the area.

The Samaria settlement councils announced that there would be no school due to the inclement weather.
