More than thirty fire-fighting aircraft were set to resume operations early on Sunday morning, and prepared to drop fire-fighting materials and water on the blaze in Israel's North.

Among them will be the large Evergreen Supertanker aircraft that landed in Israel overnight.

Fire-fighting personnel said overnight on Saturday that the Carmel fire was at its most stable so far.
