Firefighter teams were instructed on Friday night to leave the area around the Caramel Forest Hotel, fearing that it would go up in flames.

"We realized it was time to escape, the place has become a fire trap," fire department operations officer Gabi Hai said.

"We were there with seven teams, that means 40 firefighters, and we all could have been burned. The fire engulfed everything and we still don't know if the hotel will burn down," said Hai.
