The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday responded to reports that the European Union was planning to declare east Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state, according to Israel Radio. A Foreign Ministry statement warned that such a move would affect the EU's ability to act as a mediator and to influence negotiations.
