Gideon Sa'ar says yeshiva stipends increase poverty

The stipend for yeshiva students increases poverty and is "bad proposal," said Education Minister Gideon Saar on Wednesday.

At a Sderot education conference, Saar said the stipends damage the value of work and that an individual who financially supports himself and his family holds important values which are both Zionist and Jewish.
