Grandpa, grandson hit by truck, injured on Ayalon Highway

A 60-year-old cyclist was lightly injured and his eight-year-old grandson moderately hurt when a truck hit them on the Ayalon South Highway in Bat Yam on Monday morning.

The man and his grandson had been riding the bicycle together when the truck crashed into them. The grandfather suffered light injuries to his limbs and back, while his grandson had broken limbs and a moderate head injury.

An emergency response team treated the two and evacuated them to Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital.
