SOFIA, Bulgaria — Officials on Monday announced that a fake bomb threat has forced the evacuation of an airliner due to fly from Sofia, Bulgaria to Athens, Greece.

Airport executive Nikolay Kabakchiev said police searched the Olympic Air plane after the airline received a bomb threat over the phone.

After getting an all-clear from the authorities, the plane left to Athens after a three-hour delay.
