Already on the day of elections, Labor leadership candidate Isaac Herzog filed a complaint to the Election Committee on Monday reporting alleged phishing and fraud.

The complaint followed the distribution of thousands of text messages that told Labor voters that they were not eligible to vote, with a statement attached that leads to a message recorded by Herzog.

A statement from the Herzog camp said "The attempts to undermine Herzog's supporters is proof of the contenders' fears that our camp enjoys widespread support. MK Isaac Herzog calls on candidates to take control over their staffs and not interfere in the proper holding of elections."

Hezog himself called the incident a "dirty trick."
