Hundreds of people demonstrated in Haifa against rising fuel prices on Tuesday.

Some 400 people gathered in front of the Congress Center in Haifa where Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz was scheduled to speak. While most of the protesters remained across the street from the conference, a number of protesters attempted to enter the conference. Four people were arrested.

Dozens of social workers also joined the demonstration ahead of a planned strike next week.
