An IDF spokesman confirmed the operation, saying it was aimed at a terrorist preparing to launch a high-trajectory weapons toward Israel.

The Palestinian Ma'an News Agency quoted Gazan Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra as saying three Palestinian civilians were injured in the strike east of Gaza City, one of them critically.

Earlier in the morning, the IDF successfully fired upon a Hamas squad planning to fire an anti-tank missile at an IDF squadron.
