IDF: Army medical experts, rescue personnel to assist Philippines following typhoon

IDF medical experts and rescue teams were set to leave Sunday night for the Philippines to provide field assessments in the wake of a super typhoon that hit the country on Friday, the army said.

Officials on Sunday said the natural disaster had killed at least 10,000 people in the central provinces of Leyte.
