Israeli security forces killed a Palestinian in the West Bank city of Jenin during clashes that broke out in a pre-dawn raid Tuesday to arrest suspects involved in terrorist activity, an IDF spokeswoman said.
Two Israeli soldiers were lightly injured in the clashes, according to the spokeswoman.
After the IDF and the Border Police entered the city, violent clashes broke out between them and Palestinians, during which live fire was exchanged the spokeswoman said.
She added that Palestinians shot live fire at the Israeli security force and threw explosives at them, but she could not elaborate on which side had shot first.
One Palestinian suspect was arrested during the raid, she said. According to Al Jazeera the Palestinian who was killed was 16. His photograph has already begun to circulate on twitter.
