An IDF soldier was laid to rest at the Afula Military Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, a day after he was killed in a training accident in the Golan Heights. At 18-year-old Cpl. Mor Cohen's funeral Tuesday, his mother, Ricky Cohen, spoke of how her son always lent a helping hand in his family, adding "I am and have always been proud of Mor. For me he is a hero, and he always made me happy." Initial IDF investigations have determined that Cohen was killed when a bullet fired in a building during a training exercise penetrated a nearby wall and hit Cohen, who was standing outside. After the accident Monday, the IDF Northern Command called a temporary halt to live-fire exercises until the investigation is completed.
