IDF to hold drill in North and Jordan Valley; IAF to hold drill in Sde Dov

The IDF will hold a drill beginning on Sunday and lasting through to Thursday in the Jordan Valley and in northern Israel. During the exercise, civilians might notice a high level of military traffic, including trailers and armored vehicles on several routes, the army said.
The exercise is being held in full cooperation with other security agencies, including the Israel Police, the army added. "We stress that this is an annual exercise, planned ahead of time as part of the exercises scheduled to be held in 2015," the IDF Spokesman said in a statement. The exercise does not signify any change in the level of readiness of the armed forces, it added.
Meanwhile, the IAF announced that it too would be holding an exercise in the Sde Dov airport in Tel Aviv. During the exercises, heavy traffic of emergency vehicles, and sirens around the Sde Dov base, will be heard in the coming week.
The IDF said that this exercise too has been planned ahead of time, and is designed to safeguard training levels and readiness among forces.
