Israel Medical Association chairman Dr. Leonid Eidelman on Sunday implored young doctors and medical residents threatening to resign due to their dissatisfaction with the IMA's new agreement signed with the Treasury to reconsider their position which he deemed "illogical and unjust", Israel Radio reported.

"The struggle is over, we achieved the goals that we set at its outset," he wrote in a letter to the young doctors.

Eidelman added that it was not possible to fix everything wrong with the health system in one agreement.
