In the wake of the bust of Alon Hassan, State Comptroller Joseph Shapira on Wednesday blasted corruption at the Ashdod ports.

Shapira was speaking at a conference in Tel Aviv on oversight of state authorities along with Justice Minister Tzipi Livni and Knesset State Control Committee Chairman Amnon Cohen.

The two-day conference will also feature opposition leader Isaac Herzog on Thursday and was due to feature Hassan himself speaking alongside the police's former chief of interrogations Yoav Segolovich at 10:00 a.m.
