The Islamic Jihad organization announced a new ceasefire agreement in Gaza early Friday.
According to reports the ceasefire was brokered by Egypt and the UN.
Various reports suggest the ceasefire is to begin either at 13.00 on Friday, or overnight between Friday night and Saturday morning, according to Israel Radio.
Nafaz Azam, one of the organization's leaders in the Gaza Strip, made the statement, which was met with surprise, as earlier Thursday the terrorist group had vowed to send rockets further into Israel.
