Israeli swimmer wins European Championships backstroke

Israeli swimmer Jonatan Koplev won the gold medal at the European Championships 50m backstroke finals on Thursday.

The 20-year-old champion finished first at the race in Debrecen, Hungary, with 24.72 seconds.

Guy Barnea came in third, at 25.41 seconds, winning the bronze together with two other swimmers.
