Sid Caesar, an iconic television comedian of the 1950's has passed away at the age of 91, according to foreign media sources.

The television man, from an immigrant Jewish family in New York, was at the height of his career in the 1950's with his revolutionary comedy variety series "Show of Shows."

Woody Allen, among others, eulogized the artist by saying that working for the comedy writer was a valuable experience and a thing to aspire to in television comedy in those days.
