J'lem: Policeman hurt, 2 arrested in Damascus Gate brawl

A police officer was lightly injured and two people were arrested in a brawl that broke out near Damascus Gate in Jerusalem on Sunday.

Police had stones thrown at them while attempting to break up the brawl involving several dozen Arab men. One officer was lightly injured and evacuated to Hadassah Hopspital at Mount Scopus.

The man who allegedly injured the police officer was arrested as well as an additional man suspected of involvement in the brawl.

Police were attempting to disperse the crowd with stun grenades.
