More than 40 suspects were arrested in Jordan in connection with the December terrorist attack on a CIA meeting in Afghanistan, AFP reported Sunday night.

"More than 40 Jordanian jihadists, including ex-convicts, have been arrested," an official told AFP.

The attacker, Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al- Balawi, killed eight people inside a CIA base in December after claiming to have information about Osama bin Laden's second-in-command.
