Kalansawa mayor charged with blackmail, receiving bribes

Kalansawa Mayor Muhammad Hedija was indicted in the Petah Tikva District Court Tuesday, on charges of blackmail and receiving bribes.

Hedija was arrested under suspicion that he blackmailed a member of the city council by threatening to spread embarrassing pictures of him. He is also suspected of receiving bribes from businesses.
