Katsav receives 7 years in prison

Former president Moshe Katsav was sentenced to seven years in prison and two years probation on Tuesday morning at Tel Aviv District Court as judges George Karra, Judith Shevach and Miriam Sokolov reached a decision, concluding his rape trial.

He was also ruled to pay NIS 100,000 to "Aleph" from the Tourism Ministry.
