Knesset C'tee approves law to clear minefields

The Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee approved the second and third readings of a proposed law that would advance the clearing of minefields.

The law was passed unanimously.

The proposed law budgets NIS 27 million for the clearing of mines, in addition to donated money for the cause.

A pilot program was expected to begin within six months.
